This site was created for our global personnel working outside of their country of citizenship for six months or longer and is a communication tool to supplement your expatriate employee manual that is only updated once a year.
Please use the site to monitor important announcements from Regional Home Offices and watch the "upcoming events calendar" above very closely. This will be updated once a week. In addition, the site contains reference information from all of our vendors that support our expatriate assignments as well as our Expatriate Policy and Procedure manual for 2009 - 2010 also called the expatriate handbook, updated every February.

July 15, 2009 | Leave a Comment
The CIGNA International medical program will replace the Humana national PPO program for all expatriates on January 1, 2010. In addition, those still enrolled with Blue Cross of
California’s indemnity plan while living outside of the country will also be moved over to the CIGNA International medical program on January 1st. If you are currently on expatriate assignment there is nothing you need to do, and you will automatically be enrolled into the new international program for medical and dental on January 1, 2010. You will be receiving a new medical ID card and plan booklet by December 1, 2009.If you will not be in your host country on December 1, 2009 and do not plan to return to the host country until January, we can make arrangements to have your medical ID card and the new insurance information sent to an alternative address. Please contact Samantha Garland in Corporate Global Mobility.
If you do not participate in open enrollment, you and your family, using your existing elections for medical and dental will be automatically moved into the new medical plan on January 1st. As an expatriate, you are not required to login to the open enrollment web-based system (continued)
